Easter

He is Risen! I've been working with Will on the Easter story, I want him to know that Easter is not just about the "Easter Eggers" as he calls them. We've been working on memorizing "Jesus died for my sins because He loves me." And he was saying it back to me the other day and then looked at me and said: "but, Mommy He rose again". I was so thankful that he's getting it. I pray that his understanding only grows and grows.

Livestock Show

Last Wednesday I took the boys to the Livestock show. All of my family was there since Ben and Brian were both showing their cows that day. Unfortunately we had to leave before they showed, but we enjoyed being there with everyone and seeing all the animals.

One of Will's passions in life is tractors, so he was in love with the huge tractors. He didn't want to get out, "your turn is over" are hard words for a 2 year old.

Rodeo

We enjoyed a night at the Rodeo together with Jared's family. Will and Luke were both enthralled with the show, we stayed for most of the Rodeo, but as we expected, we eventually had double melt-downs. But, it took no time for them to fall asleep once we got home.



We hit up the carnival before hand. Will had never been to a carnival before, so he loved it. Bumper cars with Daddy!



Big slide with Mommy, I think Mommy was more nervous than he was. That kid has no fear.



Will's favorite, as he would say "basket shoots". He even won an Elmo basketball, it was a little flat and I think that they were just trying to get rid of it, but Will totally thinks he won the basketball game. Then we had to carry it around with us for the rest of the evening.

San Antonio

We went to San Antonio for the first weekend of Spring Break to the Wild Oak Ranch. It was a beautiful place and a great place for the kids. The boys got to sport their matching bathing suits (still haven't found one for Jared, you know he would love that). And we all got in the pool, even though it was a little cold. Luke wasn't sure about the pool, maybe he'll enjoy it more this summer when it's a little warmer.

Luke's Dedication

Luke was dedicated at church a couple of weeks ago. It was such a special time for our family, Will got to be there with us also. We are continually reminded of the major responsiblity of raising these little ones to be Godly men. We were able to commit to do our best towards that goal and also ask our church family to support us in this effort.

I can get away with the boys wearing what Jared would like to call "girly" outfits for special occasions. I love this precious little outfit, it was a gift from my friend Michelle. Will wore the same outfit when he was dedicated.

Foot in Mouth

WOW! I don't think that I could do that even after streching. Jared and I have been trying to decide if that is a Blume trait or a Davis trait?

I'm Inspired

Well, I've been reading others blogs for a little while now and I've finally decided that it's time to have one of our own. The scrapbooks for the boys are too far behind, so maybe I can do a better job of documenting their lives on-line. This is a start we'll see how it goes...
