Jesus in China

This is a fascinating clip about the religious changes going on in China and the receptiveness to the Gospel. I happened upon it on TV the other night, this clip is a shortened version of the whole story, but definitely worth watching. It is eye opening to see Christians in other parts of the world. This was also a great reminder to be praying for these Christians who risk everything for their faith.

There some more interesting articles that go along with the story. The interview with the Chinese econmist is neat, he set out to find out why the American economy is so strong and concluded that it is because of Christian principles in capitalism and through his research he became a Christian!

Luke's 9 Month Check Up

My little Luke is becoming my big Luke. He had his 9 month check up and he is 20lbs. and 30 inches long. He seems so much bigger to us than Will did at this age, but I looked up Will's stats and he was 19lbs. and 30 inches long. So, Luke is keeping up well with big brother.

Luke is pulling up on everything and starting to scoot around a little. I think we'll have a walker before we know it. Where did my baby go?

Swimming Lessons

Will went to Swimming Lessons every day for two weeks. These pictures are from his last day when the parents got to go in and watch. He cried a lot at first, but then one day on the way there he told me: "I be happy today" and he was fine from then on.

Happy guy!

Learning to Float on his back.

Will and his friend Ande took lessons together.

Will is on the right, trying to turn around and smile for the camera. Someone loves having his picture made.

More floating on his back.

Fishing Continued...

If you look closely, you can see the fish coming out of the water.
Will running away from the fish once we got it out of the water.
Will screaming hysterically at the fish.
We got Will calmed down. You can barely see the fish in Jared's hand, but you can't miss the happy smile of the proud Daddy.
I just snapped this on of Will and I thought it was too precious not to share.

Fisherman- Like Father like Son

We took Will on his first fishing trip. It was big time for him. We have a lake up at our church with little perch in it. So, we went to Academy and picked out a fishing rod and tackle box. Daddy being the serious fisherman that he is wouldn't let Will get the Spider Man pole that he wanted, he needed a real pole, which he ended up loving as well and he's very proud of his tackle box. Here are some pictures of the event.

The Academy trip.

Just like Daddy.

On his own. He hooked a fish on his first cast!

Reeling it in with Paw-Paw.

Will's Spring Program

This is from a few months ago, but I finally learned how to download video's and post them. I think this is a clasic Will, the rest of his class is singing and he is off doing his own thing.

Katie, we got Ande's special show too, he, he!

Mother's Day Picture

Our church does family pictures for Mother's Day, here's our pic. It's not the best picture, but at least no one is crying!
