Will's Surgery

Will had his tonsils and adenoids removed last Friday. He was such a champ, he did really well. We couldn't resist filming him after he drank the "happy juice" to calm him down before the procedure. We couldn't stop laughing...

Here are some pictures that are very uncharacteristic of Will:

A picture of our drunk little Will. If I didn't hold him up, he would have fallen right out of the bed. I do have to say he was very sweet and cuddly, which I enjoyed very much.

At home after surgery. His poor cheeks and throat were all swollen. He just laid on for floor watching shows.
He did want to eat a little, but he'd eat a bite and then put his head down on the table.

Will and Luke's Birthday Party

We had a great time playing with our friends at the park. We celebrated Will's 3rd Birthday and Luke's 1st Birthday.

This picture just about sums up the party for Luke - He loved his first cake!
My brothers can't go anywhere without finding wildlife. Brent found a turtle in the lake, it was a hit with the kids.

Sweet Luke!

Luke is taking a break from playing and enjoying some time with his Grandparents and Great- Grandfather.

Since Luke started walking he has also started climbing. He now climbs the big playgrounds, just like the big boys. He won't let you stop him either, he's on the go.

Family Party

We had one big family party for my boys and 3 of my brothers. So, these are some pictures of when we had the family over to celebrate!

New York

Jared and I were able to enjoy a vacation to New York at the beginning of August. I know this is late, but I wanted to share our pictures.

When I uploaded the pictures they jumbled up, so they are all out of order. I know that this won't both everyone just the other Type A's like me :)

The Toys R Us Store had a Ferris Wheel inside. I had to get a picture of the Potato Heads to show Will.

Isn't that neat? It's every kids dream, rides inside of a giant toy store.

I know it's inappropriate, but I couldn't resist. He's a New York Icon, right? There's no way I was getting my picture with him though.

We had a fabulous brunch in Rockefeller Plaza. We sat right where the ice skating rink is during the Winter. I think Jared is still a little bitter about the bill, let's just say New York prices aren't the same as the kid-friendly restaurants that we are used to. This was from our table, sorry for the tents blocking the view.

This is Grand Central Station and the Chrysler Building in the background. I loved the way this picture came out.

This is me and my sweet child-hood friend Erica, who lives in New York. We are on top of the Empire State Building. We got to see her preform at a dance festival and then she was our tour guide for the day. It was great fun.

This is the site of the former World Trade Center. I was able to visit the World Trade Center on a trip about 10 years ago, so it was a very sobering experience to go back and see it now. Jared, Erica and I all re-counted where we were on 9-11 and how we found out about the attacks. As we were talking I realized that we will always remember this and talk about it just like our parents talk about where they were when Kennedy was shot.

Right across the street is a little fire station and on the outside there is a plaque of 6 fire-fighters
who lost their lives trying to save people. I wish I had taken a picture of the plaque, it is something I will never forget.
