Jared and I were able to enjoy a vacation to New York at the beginning of August. I know this is late, but I wanted to share our pictures.
When I uploaded the pictures they jumbled up, so they are all out of order. I know that this won't both everyone just the other Type A's like me :)
Central Park
View of the
Chrysler Building from our hotel room.
Jared and I in Central Park.
Our wonderful dinner after seeing Wicked.
The Gershwin Theater, where we saw Wicked. One word: Amazing!
Jared and Grand Central Station, no he's not the scary guy in black. I
didn't notice that guy walking by when I took the picture. But, he sure looks scary now.
Our hotel was connected to Grand Central, you can see the Hyatt sign in the background.
That's me at Bryant Park. Yes, that's for all my fellow Project Runway fans.
Bryant Park
The Toys R Us Store had a Ferris Wheel inside. I had to get a picture of the Potato Heads to show Will.
Isn't that neat? It's every kids dream, rides inside of a giant toy store.
I know it's inappropriate, but I couldn't resist. He's a New York Icon, right? There's no way I was getting my picture with him though.
Jared in Times Square.
We had a fabulous brunch in
Rockefeller Plaza. We sat right where the ice skating rink is during the Winter. I think Jared is still a little bitter about the bill, let's just say New York prices aren't the same as the kid-friendly
restaurants that we are used to. This was from our table, sorry for the tents blocking the view.
This is me in front of Radio City Music Hall.

Rockefeller Plaza.
Us in front of our hotel, after a long day of sight-seeing.

This is Grand Central Station and the
Chrysler Building in the background. I loved the way this picture came out.

This is me and my sweet child-hood friend Erica, who lives in New York. We are on top of the Empire State Building. We got to see her preform at a dance festival and then she was our tour guide for the day. It was great fun.

Jared and I on top of the Empire State Building. It was just like Sleepless in
Seattle.

Great views, that's the
Chrysler Building.

More views from the Empire State Building.

Jared and I, with Lady Liberty in the background.

This is the site of the former World Trade Center. I was able to visit the World Trade Center on a trip about 10 years ago, so it was a very
sobering experience to go back and see it now. Jared, Erica and I all re-counted where we were on 9-11 and how we found out about the attacks. As we were talking I realized that we will always remember this and talk about it just like our parents talk about where they were when
Kennedy was shot.

Another picture of Ground Zero.
Right across the street is a little fire station and on the outside there is a plaque of 6 fire-fighters
who lost their lives trying to save people. I wish I had taken a picture of the plaque, it is something I will never forget.

Erica and I in front of the Statue of Liberty.
Thank you Erica, for showing us around. It was great to see you dear!

Yeah...I love the photos...Hello I love Project Runway!!!
Nathan and I would really like to go to NYC for our 5th anniv in December, but we don't know what to do with Noah. There aren't any grandparents up here with us in Boston to keep him, and we are not too sure about leaving him with friends for a couple of days. Anyway, I'm glad to see y'all had a good trip!
