Nashville

Jared and I had a marvelous time last weekend in Nashville. We were given the trip by my friend Jackie (you can check out her non-profit outreach center). She is one of our Mentor Moms for MOPS and is such a giving person. We were so thankful for the opportunity to go on this trip. This Valentines Day was exactly 5 years since we got engaged in Breckenridge and we were very blessed to be able to get away to celebrate.

Our trip was a Valentines Day weekend getaway with a concert by Michael W. Smith. He has been one of my favorite artists since I was a little girl. We saw him preform for his first time at the Grand Ole Opry on Friday night and then on Saturday night we had a dinner/concert. We got to meet him very briefly, you can see our picture with him below. We also got to meet Matthew West, when we told him where we were from he said "Pappasitos"- that was enough for us to know that he was a great guy. Unfortunatly our picture with him didn't turn out very well, so I'm not going to post it.

Nashville is such a neat city, we weren't really sure what to expect, but we really enjoyed our time there.

Here's a short video of the concert - some of his older stuff that I grew up with.
Our boys did great while we were gone, thank you Jade and Kent and Mom and Dad for watching them for us!

How awesome to take a little trip! Man, I miss doing things like that (grad school salary + no parents/free babysitting close by kind of nixes it for us for now). One of these days, Nathan and I will start that up again! Your pics inspired me. :)
